Dungeon

Postby xTherebythetrees » Sun Apr 15, 2012 12:52 pm

Lately I've been producing small bits of musical content, and this is one of them.
I've decided to finish this one, and now I would love some oppinions :)
I removed it, because I felt like rearanging it complely, so now instead of dungeon I moved it to something less genre specific

..Or perhaps I simply removed it to create mysticism

Here it is again:

2. EDIT.
I updated the track.
I still havent found my hook yet, but I think this has some clearer sounds.
I dried the verb on the bass a litte so that it sound more roomy than spacey, the sub is more clear now, and I worked with some percs.
Let me know what you think :)

I was looking forward to some dank heavy dubstep...

Ooooh yeah, this is awesome.

The drums are just perfect, I love all of the little synths.

Its dank and has that really cool old dub feel. The little "brap" sample is really cool and all the basses work really well. I would say it needs a bit more sub bass but I don't have a sub so I'm probably missing out on a lot.

That sub fits so nicely. Love it. Especially when the main synth sound echoes out and the sub can be heard underneath, that's frickin' cool.

That main synth sound though (the one that comes in at 0.16) could maybe use some more mid-range, bit less high.

At 0.40 that little sound, I kinda wanted the hats to drop out so that was the only sound playing for a second there.

The it's just a case of structuring it to a conventional track length!
