I think the Skrillex snares are pretty good, but they're also quite boring these days since ALL snares sound like that. Obviously I agree that Koans are amongs the best ones I've heard.

There's something about these snares too that I always really enjoyed

Meh, i think those Koan snares are overrated. I love the Koan drums though, but more because of the ensemble, all the drum sounds together and the pattern. It's just a snappy drum'n'bass snare, quite high, peaking around 250 Hz, quite hollow. I think it gets tiring. I like my dubstep drums atonal, noisy, low and HUGE. Like the skrillex ones, sorry.

Although i love Noisia's dubstep snare :3 And that Xilent tune has a killer snare too.

:o  oooohh... I've always loved those, they kinda sound like they are just a punchy snare layered with an amen snare.
The Noisia guys are really good producers, the drums and the bass sound like they are made for each other, and I know out of expierience, that that is really hard to achieve. ;)

That snare is nice, it kinda sounds like a snare from a live kit. This is probably my favorite skrillex tune, if I'm allowed to have a favorite skrillex tune.

Burial has some really cool snare sounds. This is my favorite track by him, I love the wooden percussion he uses here:
