I was totally going to recommend this. Such an amazing album. hell his entire discography is amazing

Fooshi wrote:Oh dear, so much to choose between. I would say The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy, since I can't think of any other at the moment. Nice mix between chill tracks (Narayan and Climbatize) and a more aggressive sound (Firestarter and Smack My Bitch Up). That would be sound wise. If you're taking lyrics in to account, I have absolutely no idea. Electronic music for me is all about the sound. I barely appreciate vocals.

my favourite prodigy album. another great choice. I love the breakdown on Narayan

Now I will have to say Quantic - Apricot morning

The Prodigy - The Fat of The Land (A must have! Brilliantly produced!)

Leftfield - Leftism (Another brilliantly produced album!)

A lot of good music being mentioned here.
I think I should listen to some more Trentemøller, I have a very sporadic relationship with him..

I think "Black Celebration" and "Music for the Masses" by Depeche Mode is essential also. I think those are probably two of the most influential (and best) Synth Pop albums.

I'm liking the love for Depeche Mode ^-^

I think all the ones I would suggest have already been said, but for a really good application of ONLY modular synths, Arabian Horse by Gusgus is a good example.

From a music techy point of view... Just about any Jean Michel Jarre album, but gotta say listening to Aero in 5.1 surround sound is pretty amazing :), Kraftwerk albums, and The Prodigy also works for me especially Invaders Must Die!

Bro, it's all about Music for the Jilted Generation

I'd also like to add The Chemical Brothers' Dig Your Own Hole and The Crystal Method's Vegas. Big Beat doesn't get the love it deserves anymore :(
